Soil Equivalent Foam is a water-based non-hardening product engineered to provide superior coverage and visual appearance on the working face. The 3" foam blanket fills any voids on the uneven surface of the waste, eliminating potential odor or vector problems due to exposed trash. The blanket remains moist throughout its life, and when covered with additional waste, the foam collapses leaving no solid barrier behind. Therefore, soil equivalent foam not only consumes zero airspace but can improve the flow of leachate through the waste. Unimpeded by the cover material, moisture can drain downward as opposed to laterally towards the walls of the cell.
The odor control performance of Soil Equivalent Foam gives sites an additional advantage when relocating waste, excavating or trenching.
Soil Equivalent Foam ships as a liquid concentrate in 450 lb. drums or by bulk tanker load, depending on daily usage. The concentrate is simply diluted with water directly in the on-board storage tank of a Pneumatic Foam Unit. No components to mix means your operator can begin covering more quickly; non-hardening means no clean up, and left-over product can remain in the Pneumatic Foam Unit until the next application.
